Get Involved!

First of all, if you haven't become a Member, Join!

There are many ways to get involved with the Association once you are a member!  Whether you are interested in leading a Discipline area, helping on the Social Committee or contributing to the site blog, there are lots of ways to serve!   Just fill out the form at the bottom of the page.

Discipline Leader

Discipline Leaders play a vital role in the Association.  They set the agenda for Discipline-specific teleconferences, organize the calls, secure speakers and make sure action items see follow through.  They also work with the Conference Committee to secure speakers, exhibitors and topics for the annual Conference at DAC.  Finally, Discipline Leaders report quarterly to the Board of Directors on the status of their area as well as lay out plans for the coming quarter.

They also have an open invitation to write columns on the website blog.

Social Committee members get to have all the fun!  They are our local representatives to the overall membership, setting up local events such as evening mixers or lunch and learns.  Social Committee members also coordinate with the Conference Committee on the evening Social Event we have a DAC every year.

The Social Committee also helps with Membership recruitment drives and reaching out to the industry to find new Members of all types (Professional, Supplier and Corporate).

Conference Committee

Do you enjoy going to the conference at DAC every year?  Want to have a chance to influence the content, structure or participants in speaking engagements?  The Conference Committee gives you a voice in all of these things.  We need people to help identify and work with suppliers who are interested in exhibiting, speaking or participating in panel discussions!

Blog contributors are subject matter experts who are passionate about their field.  They contribute insightful, action-oriented posts that help educate other members and elevate the knowledge of the entire Community.  Let’s face it, in our profession there are not many outlets for “scholarly” articles for experts to share.  One of the main goals of the Association is to improve the entire industry, so if you have a knack for writing, help us out with article contributions!
